Research firm Strategic Vision determines Total Quality Index based on the responses of more than 46,000 drivers when asked about their experience owning new 2015 model year vehicles. Study questions ask participants to consider more than 155 aspects of the ownership experience spanning positive and negative moments alike. Collectively, ownership aspects such as driving excitement, reliability and actual problems combine to provide a holistic view of the total ownership experience. In particular, Total Quality captures the emotional reactions of drivers to the comprehensive ownership experience.
