You probably know that when you buy a car, in most cases you can negotiate to get a better deal. But what about you’re not buying, but leasing instead? If you’re thinking about a RAM lease, you should know that there are a few aspects of it that are negotiable.

Price

While it’s not the purchase price – but the cap cost – there is generally some wiggle room with this. This is the amount the lender will pay to get the car from the dealership. Clearly, the lower the price of the cap cost, the smaller you will be able to make your monthly payments.

Interest Rate

Interest rates are a little harder to move, but you may have some success here as well. If you have a good or excellent credit score, the more likely it will be that you can get a lower rate. Even it’s just reduced a fraction or two, this can cut your costs.

Mileage

The last thing you may be able to negotiate is the mileage. All leases have an annual mileage restriction, which may be as low as 10,000 miles. If that’s too low for your driving habits, consider negotiating this number until you get one you can work with.
