The annual study reflects the responses of 84,000 surveyed owners of 2015 model year cars following their first 90 days of ownership. Segment leaders are recognized for their owners’ positive responses when asked to name vehicle design issues and defects. The IQS study comprises 233 questions that were released to new car owners between February and May of this year.
Also performing well in the IQS evaluation was the 2015 Dodge Challenger, which led the Midsize Sporty Car category in initial quality for the second year in a row and the third time in five years. Meanwhile, the 2015 RAM 1500 ranked second in the Large Light Duty Pickup segment and the 2015 Chrysler Town & Country landed in the No. 2 spot for the Minivan segment. The 2015 Chrysler Town & Country led IQS rankings in the 2011, 2013 and 2014 studies.
